History Lesson 1
L.O.: To understand the process of mummification.
First, watch this video about Ancient Egyptian beliefs:

You might want to make some notes!
Then, open the slides called ‘Lesson 1 and 2 slides’. Read the information about the beliefs and mummification.
Task 1
Open the document called History Task 1. If you have printed this, you need to cut the page into strips (one picture and an explanation next to it). Then you need to order stages of mummification.
If you cannot print this at home, you can write out the steps in the correct order.
Task 2
Open the document called History Task 2. Draw a line to match the Canopic Jar to the organs that would go inside.

L.O.: To design and create a poster about Ancient Egyptian beliefs.
Re-watch yesterday’s video and look at the powerpoint again. This time, you definitely need to make notes!
Today’s task is to design and create an information poster showing the 7 stages of the mummification process.
You must include:
- A title
- Information grouped under subheadings e.g.
- Cleaning
- Organs
- The Brain
- Pictures
- Eye catching colours
You might want to look at the document called History Poster Support to help you out – this document shows the mummification stages in order and has some useful pictures you could copy or cut out!

PE - Try to be active for at least 1 hour every day. If you are isolating, you can still go into your garden or complete workouts/dance videos from youtube. We have attached some ideas for you if you need inspiration
