Remember the importance of a healthy life style: Drink water, don’t have unhealthy snacks, and be active for at least an hour a day. Remember that if you are isolating, you can still go into your garden! If the weathers isn’t nice, there’s lot of things you can do online such as Joe Wickes, Go Noodle… If you need some inspiration for indoor or outdoor exercise, use these tasks!
This, again, is a lesson that you might want to discuss with an adult in your house. It covers a very importabt area of online safety and talking this through with an adult is a healthy discussion to have.
Watch the NSPCC video of Lucy and the Boy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwcL-VP3FYc
Lucy and the Boy is about an adult grooming a girl. Grooming is when someone builds a relationship, trust and emotional connection with a child or young person so they can manipulate or exploit them. We want you to be aware that this exists so that you can look out for warning signs. The PowerPoint takes you step by step through a discussion of Lucy and the Boy to help you think about content of the video.
The PowerPoint also helps you to recognise all the aspects of somebody that might be praised and helps you to match praise with aspects of you.
Once you’ve completed the PowerPoint, stick the images in your workbook and annotate with the answers to these questions:
What were the warning signs which Lucy should have spotted?
What advice would you give to Lucy?
