Geography
L.O: To compare and contrast geographical regions
Your task is compare Sheffield with a place in North America, looking at both human and physical geography.
Human geography – Human geography studies how people affect the environments they live in. It includes aspects such as population, culture, religion, tourism and buildings.
Physical geography – Physical geography studies the Earth itself. It includes weather, climate zones, seasons, mountains, hills, rivers, oceans, coasts, cliffs and rocks.
You are going to research Sheffield and a North American region – use the location cards to choose somewhere you are interested in.
Create a mind map full of information about both places, using different colours for each location (see mindmap pdf).
The question cards will help you to think about what you want to research.

Test your bike riding skills in ‘Red light, Green light bike ride’ (if you haven’t got a bike, or can‘t leave the house, replace biking for running in your garden.)
