L.O: To write an introduction
For homework last week you made notes on a person that you admired. Today you need to check that you have all the information you need. You can also write your introduction paragraph.
Remember that an introduction says – who you person is, where/when they were born and one or two sentences saying their main achievements. Here is one that I wrote for Christine Ohurugo:
WAGOLL:
Christine Ohuruogo was born May 17th 1984 in London. She specialised in 400m and was a medal winner in two Olympics. To Christina, running feels like flying.

L.O: To write a recount
For the next two lessons you need to write a recount of your hero’s life. I have attached a success criteria for you to look at. You have done this before with a partner. This is the same, just by yourself. You can do it!!

L.O: To edit and improve
Sit with your adult (if you can) and look through your recount from this week.
Step 1 – read your recount out loud and correct any obvious mistakes/missing words. Remember to add punctuation if your sentences are too long
Step 2 – check you capital letters! Remember start of sentences and proper nouns!
Step 3 – Find at least 4 spelling mistakes and correct them. (if you have less than 4, well done you!)

Copy your edited report into best. You can draw a picture of your hero if you like too!
