Spring D&T

This term, Year 5 have been developing their cooking and nutrition skills by learning all about bread.  They analysed various bread products and discussed the various features: texture, colour, appearance, taste and smell.

They then went on to design, make and evaluate their own recipes.  As you can see from the photos they developed lots of new skills such as kneading and plaiting.  Can you spot some of the ingredients they used in the photographs?

Thanks Y5B for sharing your photos, I hope they tasted as good as they looked.

Meanwhile in Y6, they have been refining their sewing skills to create a cover for a tablet.  As you can see from the pictures everyone has created very different designs and chosen to embelish their designs in lots of different ways.
