Residential Trips

At Dobcroft, we endeavour to provide a broad and balanced curriculum both in the classroom and beyond. We are very fortunate to offer amazing residential opportunities to all year groups so that children can experience learning and excitement away from school. These gradually build in length through the course of a child’s time with us and offer outdoor and adventurous activities and learning opportunities as well as a lot of fun! They build essential skills and provide an opportunity for every child to develop their independence.

• Year 3

Castleton residential (2 days and 1 night) - A focus on rocks and fossils to link with Geography and Science learning in school in the heart of the Peak District.

• Year 4

Mount Cook (3 days and 2 nights)- An residential further in the Peak District with lots of outdoor and adventurous activities to be enjoyed.

• Year 5

Kingswood Dearne Valley (4 days and 3 nights) - An exciting residential a bit further away from home. Lots of fantastic activities on offer and it incorporates many areas of the curriculum.

• Year 6

Stratford (4 days and 3 nights) - A cultural trip with lots of exciting places to visit, such as Warwick Castle and Cadbury World
