LO To find the area of shapes

 

 

 

Activity – Today we would like you to visit www.twinkl.co.uk (enter code UKTWINKLHELPS) and download the ‘Year 4 Diving into Mastery: What is Area? Teaching Pack. Read through the PowerPoint provided and learn all about area of shapes and then complete the horizontal questions based on area. There should also be a document that provides answers.

Don’t forget you can log in to your My Maths account for extra maths learning and search for area (this login was given out at school – contact the school office if you need a reminder!)

LO To use features of an acrostic poem

Activity – Today we would like you to visit BBC Bitesize and search for ‘Acrostic Poem’ the link to the website is provided below

Please make your own acrostic poem about a subject of your choice.

*You could make an acrostic poem with ‘Rainbows’ as the subject and then decorate it. Display it in your window at home and people who are out looking for rainbows can spot yours!

Science – Soon will we be starting our new science topic of teeth and the digestive system. To see what kind of food you eat, get every member of your family to record a food and drink diary for an entire week.

Visit https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zrffr82/articles/zppvv4j and read about the different types of food groups e.g. carbohydrates or proteins. Colour code your food diaries based on the food groups you have consumed.
