Y4 - Geography Awareness Week - Climate Change - Single Use Plastic

Date: 4th Dec 2019 @ 12:10pm

During Geography Awareness week, Year 4 explored the impact that single use plastic is having on our sea life. The children were very keen to learn about what they can do to help the issue and they had some fantastic discussions and came up with some great solutions.

The children collected a range of single use plastic items from home and rather than throwing it away, we put it to good use to try and raise awareness within school!  As a year group, we have created a display focusing on 4 sea creatures that are currently under serious threat due to single use plastic.

Many of the children within the year group have expressed that as a part of the next generation, they feel that they are responsible for trying to make a change! What a fantastic outlook to have!

Well done to all the children for putting in so much time and effort to create a brilliant display with an extremely important message!
