Day 4 Jean Paul and the flying pigs

Date: 24th Oct 2019 @ 12:48pm

Thursday

You'll be pleased to hear everyone ate well again this morning. Breakfast was bacon, eggs, beans, toast, waffles, cereal and yoghurts so there's no danger of anyone dying of starvation between now and lunch time.  Edward loved breakfast because it was healthy (he had: waffles, Rice Krispies, beans on toast and an apple).

Our first activity was fencing so everyone had to put on jackets, helmets and gloves. We learnt a few moves and competed against each other. Some members of our group had some pretty sneaky moves.

Next we used all our skills from our science topic to help us with the rocket launch challenge. To say it was a little bit competitive, would be an understatement. Rockets needed to be launched the highest, the furthest and the shortest. Miss Field was beginning to win when her apprentice came along and lost all her cutlery so she was really hoping it wasn't soup for lunch!  Finally on her very last go, Miss Field was able to win back the cutlery for both her apprentice and herself. Phew!  Leen thought it was wet, muddy, fun and very competive.

This afternoon we've been working together as a team to solve problems. Everyone worked so well together and learnt that communicating efficiently works so much better when just one person talks and everyone else listens. The final task before tea was to complete the sensory trail. Again communicating clearly was key to being successful.

Tonight everyone has packed some very wet, smelly, muddy clothes for you all. Before heading off to Mini Olympics. I think you'll be meeting some very tired little people tomorrow.

What a fab week we've had; the weather has been glorious and the children have been amazing.
